The Minnesota Vikings received some unfortunate news this week with veteran quarterback Sam Bradford set to miss a second straight game. Bradford has been dealing with a knee issue that hasn't improved enough heading into Week 3 in order to get him back on the field against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to Kevin Patra of NFL.com, Bradford will be watching from the sidelines on Sunday as Case Keenum gets the start once again.

The Minnesota Vikings will trot out Case Keenum under center for the second straight week.

Coach Mike Zimmer announced Friday that Sam Bradford will miss Sunday's tilt versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In Week 1, Bradford was masterful against the New Orleans Saints. The former No. 1 pick had one of his best games as a pro with a flawless performance in which he threw for 346 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.

Bradford led the Vikings to their first win of the season while showing no discomfort in the knee that has forced him out for two straight weeks. Obviously, Bradford stuck on the sidelines with the knee issue is a major concern for Minnesota as their offense simply isn't the same without him under center.

Minnesota will have a tough task ahead as they go up against a promising young team led by Jameis Winston. The Bucs won their first game of the season in convincing fashion crushing the Chicago Bears, 29-7.

Winston and company will try to take advantage of the shorthanded Vikings as they attempt to go 2-0 on the season while Minnesota tries to avoid dropping two straight games.
