Stefon Diggs' Minnesota Vikings are off to a bit of a topsy-turvy start to the season, sitting just above the .500 mark through the first half of the 2018 campaign.

Following a disappointing 30-20 loss to the New Orleans Saints, the Vikings are aiming to get back on track in Week 9 action against the Detroit Lions. Diggs has voiced that he expects to play in Sunday's game despite dealing with a rib injury. (h/t Anthony Broome of 247 Sports)

Was that on the screen pass in the second quarter?

“Ah, I think so. I’m not 100 percent sure, that’s probably when it happened. I think I hit the ground just a little bit too hard that one time.”

How’d it feel during the game?

“I was fine. I mean, I played the rest of the game. Just making it work. So I feel pretty good.”

You anticipate playing Sunday?

“Ah, yeah. Always. As I should.”

Diggs doesn't appear to be too concerned with the injury at this point in time, as it's something he will likely have to play through for the time being. It hasn't limited his availability; it's more a matter of pain tolerance moving forward.

Diggs is off to a strong start this year, as he's well on his way to posting his first career 1,000 receiving yard campaign. The star wideout currently has 58 catches for 587 receiving yards and four touchdowns, which includes three 100 receiving yard performances along with three games with 10 or more receptions. He is currently on pace to tally 116 receptions for 1,174 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

Diggs will likely be a huge part of the game plan against the Lions as the team looks to get back on track to stay in contention for the NFC North division title.
