Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs will officially be a game-time decision heading into Sunday's showdown with the New England Patriots.

Diggs has been dealing with a knee injury, and while he was initially expected to play, overnight swelling has put his status in question.

From ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter:

Vikings' WR Stefon Diggs' knee swelled overnight and he now needs to test it pregame to determine whether he can play today against the New England Patriots, per league source. Diggs back to being questionable today.

Diggs played a big role in Minnesota's 24-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 12, catching eight of 11 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown.

He's accumulated 79 receptions for 790 yards and six touchdowns on the season, which along with the monster year from Adam Thielen, has given new quarterback Kirk Cousins plenty of options in the passing attack.

Having Diggs on the field would certainly be a huge boost heading into what could be a potentially high-scoring affair against Tom Brady and the Patriots.

New England's secondary has been inconsistent at times this season, so that should give Thielen and Diggs the possibility of producing big games.

The Vikings currently sit at 6-4-1 on the season as they try to surpass the Chicago Bears (8-3) at the top of the NFC North. The two teams will meet up in the final week of the regular season, and there could be plenty on the line in that one.

After this week's clash with the Patriots, Minnesota will head to Seattle for a Week 14 matchup against the Seahawks.
