Ever since the Washington Redskins acquired Alex Smith from the Kansas City Chiefs, the NFL-loving free world has speculated on where Kirk Cousins is going to land. Over the weekend, the general belief was that he was down to the Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, or New York Jets.

According to Benjamin Albright, it appears that he may have locked down on the Vikings.

Early reports on Monday had Cousins deciding between the Vikings and Jets. Supposedly, the Jets are willing to dish out a ton of guaranteed money. But the Jets are also in need of help at other positions if they are going to become competitive. Minnesota just needs to lock down a quarterback for the immediate future and keep everyone healthy.

There have not been widespread reports that Cousins has set his sights on Minnesota, but apparently whoever Albright is talking to in Denver thinks he has.

If that is indeed the case, the quarterback market is going to become even more interesting. That means that Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Bradford and Case Keenum will all be hitting the market. It could also mean great things are in store for the Vikings.

Cousins was at his best in Washington when he was working with Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson. Should he go to Minnesota, he'll work with Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. So, once again, he'll have two of the best young wide receivers in the game to throw to.

He may cost a lot, but if he gets Minnesota to the Super Bowl, it will be worth it.
