Hue Jackson may have failed miserably as a head coach, but that won't stop him from earning some consideration as a coordinator. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Jackson could be an option for the Minnesota Vikings at offensive coordinator given his familiarity with Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer.

Jackson and Zimmer coached together on the Cincinnati Bengals, with Jackson serving as a special teams coach and running backs coach in 2012 and 2013, respectively, which overlapped with Zimmer's six-season term as Bengals' defensive coordinator between 2008 and 2013.

Jackson was fired from his post as Cleveland Browns head coach in late October and proceeded to re-join Cincinnati's coaching staff, serving as a special assistant to the head coach for the latter half of 2018.

The 53-year-old has been in the NFL since 2001, first landing a job as running backs coach of the Washington Redskins. In addition to the Redskins, Browns and Bengals, Jackson has also worked for the Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens and briefly served as head coach of the Oakland Raiders in 2011. Interestingly enough, Jackson has had three separate stints in Cincinnati.

As for Minnesota, it seems likely to lose current offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski, as he is drawing substantial interest around the league. The Vikings changed offensive coordinators during the 2018 campaign, firing John DeFilippo and replacing him with Stefanski after an anemic loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 14.

Minnesota went a disappointing 8-7-1 on the season, missing the playoffs after losing to the Chicago Bulls during the final week of the 2018 campaign.
