Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors came out on top of a tough road game this Tuesday in Minnesota. However, the 10-time All-Star is still apparently smarting from his team's brutal loss at the hands of the Phoenix Suns last week.

ESPN's Nick Friedell shared a tweet about KD's post-game comments from Tuesday's game regarding the Suns' suprising upset over the Warriors:

Golden State just bounced back from a narrow loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday and traveled to Minnesota on the second game of a grueling back-to-back road trip. And yet, the team won in rather convincing fashion considering the schedule working against them and playing in relatively unfamiliar territory.

In comparison to last week's loss to the Suns: the Warriors held home court advantage against the worst team in the league and were hot off a drubbing of the second-seeded Denver Nuggets just two days prior.

The lesson that Durant spoke of pertains to never underestimating one's opposition regardless of how bad or how good they are. The two-time champ appears to be humbled after that discouraging defeat, and he'll make sure that he'll do anything to prevent he and his team from being embarrassed like that again.

Durant certainly applied that tough lesson to heart on Tuesday, scoring 17 points and dishing out nine assists in the win over the Timberwolves. Minnesota's a longshot to make this year's postseason, but KD knew well enough at this point not to take the Wolves for granted.

Eight of Golden State's 12 remaining games in the regular season are against teams with losing records. That means the team must keep a good balance between gearing up for the postseason while remaining very competitive against more inferior opponents, especially since the Milwaukee Bucks still have the best record in the NBA for the rights of home court advantage all throughout the NBA Playoffs.
