Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant moved up in the all-time playoff scoring list again after another impressive performance on Sunday.

Durant scored 35 points for the Warriors to overtake Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird on the list. The former NBA Most Valuable Player has now scored 3,901 points in playoff games, besting the 3,897 markers of Bird in 164 playoff games in his legendary career.

The 10-time All-Star will also likely move up further on the list, especially if the Warriors go deep into the playoffs. He is not too far from the 10th spot, which is currently held by Dwyane Wade who had 3,954 points in the playoff throughout his career. Tony Parker is ninth on the list with 4,045 points.

Kevin Durant has been on a tear in the playoffs this season. Before his 35-point performance against the Houston Rockets on Sunday, the two-time NBA Finals MVP averaged 35.0 points in six games against the Los Angeles Clippers in the opening round of the 2019 NBA Playoffs.

In the series-clinching game, Durant erupted for 50 points on 15-for-26 shooting, including six 3-pointers. In Game 5, he torched the Clippers with 45 points on 14-for-26 shooting.

While he did not score more than 40 on Sunday, it was enough to give the Warriors a slim victory. Golden State escaped with a 104-100 win in Game 1 of their second-round series against the Houston Rockets at the Oracle Arena. Stephen Curry finished with 18 points, while Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala added 14 points apiece for the Warriors.
