It's been just over two years since Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant tragically passed away in a helicopter crash, which left the entire world in shock. The Black Mamba made such an impact on so many NBA players over the years, with one of them being Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

It was three years after Kobe's retirement and Steph was so inspired by what he was doing. Bryant had just won an Oscar for his “Dear Basketball” short film, had his own company called Kobe Inc., and hosted his own ESPN show where he broke down film on different players.

That being said, the Warriors veteran wanted to meet with Kobe and pick his brain in 2019, three years after he retired, and it was ultimately the last time the two met.

Via The Athletic:

“I was in LA and had dinner with him and one of his business associates,” said Curry, who has two daughters and a son with his wife, Ayesha. “He was an open book. But I remember just sitting down and him taking me on a journey of what he had been doing before he retired, in that first year after he retired, and then what he was currently doing. All of it sounded amazing because it was true to him and authentic in terms of what story he was trying to tell, and what was important to him at that moment.
“And a lot of it was centered around his kids, and the girls, so that was the most inspirational thing. … That was the last time I saw him in person.”

Family was everything to Kobe Bryant and that's exactly what he made clear to Curry, who has stuck it out with one franchise in the Warriors for his entire career so far just like Bryant.

You're always going to be an inspiration, Kobe. There's no doubt that conversation will always be a fond memory for Steph Curry as well.
