In case you haven’t heard, Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson has said that he’ll put the NFL franchise up for sale once the 2017 season concludes, per the team’s official Twitter account.

This development comes in the middle of sexual harassment and workplace allegations currently being hurled at Richardson which have led the team to conduct an ongoing internal investigation.
Immediately following the announcement that the Panthers are going to be sold, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs sent out a tweet, expressing his intent to buy the franchise. Apparently, Diddy doesn’t just want a girl in his life but an NFL team, too.

Diddy’s tweet spread like wildfire online. It also caught the attention of Golden State Warriors guard and Panthers fan Stephen Curry, who, without hesitation, offered to help Diddy buy Carolina.

Tweeting about their goal of buying the Panthers is one thing. Actually purchasing it is another, however. And it’s not going to come cheap.
According to Forbes, the Panthers’ value is worth around $2.3 billion. Billion. It was bought by Richardson in 1993 for just $206 million so selling the right now sounds like a good business idea.
Diddy’s going to need people buy his music more and Stephen Curry sign some more supermax contracts to pull it off, but who knows?
