Washington Wizards All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal practically carried the load for his team on Friday, as he put up a very impressive 46-point effort against the Charlotte Hornets.

Unfortunately, this did not prove to be enough, as the Wizards still fell to the Hornets, 123-110, despite another offensive outburst from Beal. Following the disappointing loss, the 25-year-old admitted that at this point, he will need to consistently play at an elite level if he hopes to help his team turn things around this season.

“I just have to elevate my play, that's all I know I can do is elevate my play and my leadership to do whatever it takes,” Beal said, via ESPN.

On top of his game-high 46 markers on Friday, Beal also recorded four three-pointers, six rebounds, seven assists, a block, and just a single turnover, as he literally tried to do it all for the Wizards. He was also extremely efficient in this one, going 16-of-25 from the floor overall, and shooting a pristine 10-of-10 from the charity stripe.

Sadly, Beal could not get enough help from his teammates, as the rest of the Wizards collectively accounted for only 64 points.

On the other side of the court, it was Hornets superstar Kemba Walker that led the charge for his team yet again, putting up a 25-point, 11-assist double-double, along with three three-pointers, five rebounds, and just a couple of turnovers.

Washington's up-and-down season took another dip on Saturday, as they have now logged their third straight defeat. Nonetheless, a Playoffs berth is still within arms reach, as the team are currently just four games behind the eighth-seeded Pistons in the East.
