Washington Wizards guard Isaiah Thomas seems to be ready for the start of the regular season. He's eager to prove himself to the rest of the league and show everyone that he can reclaim the recognition as one of the best players in the league.

Thomas was a perennial MVP candidate during the 2016-17 season, but a serious hip injury halted his momentum and he has bounced around the league since then. Now, IT claims that he's 100 percent healthy and that he lost a significant amount of weight in preparation for the upcoming season.

Last season, Thomas signed a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets even though he hasn't fully recovered from his injury. He returned to the court in February but only played a couple of games before the team decided to shut him down for the rest of the season.

Since then, IT said that he wants a legitimate opportunity to prove himself, and he hopes that his stint with the Wizards will give him just that.

Prior to his injury, IT had a breakout year with the Celtics in 2016 where he averaged 28.9 points and 5.9 assists. If he can produce the same numbers with the Wizards, then the team will have a legitimate shot at making the playoffs. Washington is hoping that IT can replicate that phenomenal season that he had a couple of years ago as they are expected to miss the services of John Wall for the entire 2019-20 campaign.

IT has been waiting for this for a long time, and now that he has it, it is time for him to walk the talk.
