The Washington Wizards managed to bounce back with a huge 109-91 win over the formidable Detroit Pistons. They now prepare to square off against the Utah Jazz in the first of their upcoming five-game road trip.

Furthermore, the Wizards got a sign of good news after head coach Scott Brooks said superstar point guard John Wall will take part in some light shooting, according to Candace Buckner of the Washington Post:

This is likely the first phase of Wall's recovery process after receiving injections to help reduce the inflammation in his knee. Although his return still remains unclear, it is encouraging to see the four-time All-Star finally get back on the court.

The knee had been giving Wall problems since early November, however, the pain had been manageable. That was until after a spectacular 31-point performance versus the Charlotte Hornets in his native North Carolina. He has since been absent for the Wizards' last four games.

Although Washington has managed to go 2-2 in that span, it remains to be seen how long they can sustain without their superstar point guard at the helm. Fortunately, there is some light at the end of the tunnel with Wall now in the early steps in the recovery process.
