Washington Wizards head coach Scott Brooks says starting point guard John Wall will see a foot specialist on Saturday for the heel injury he is dealing with.

John Wall has bone spurs in his left heel which started to get really bad on Dec. 8, according to Fred Katz of The Atheltic.

The Wizards are hosting the Chicago Bulls on Friday and John Wall is not playing.

In the 32 games he has played in this season, Wall is averaging 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game. The five-time All-Star is shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 30.2 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line.

For a player like Wall, who relies on his speed and athleticism, a heel injury is very hard to play through. The former No. 1 overall pick has missed three games this season. Wall has said sometimes the injury feels better than other days. The hope in Washington is that the foot specialist will be able to give the organization and Wall more answers.

The Wizards are just 13-22 on the year. As is the case every year, the team has been inconsistent in their play. John Wall is putting up All-Star numbers, but the club is 11-21 when he starts.
