Marcin Gortat was the surprise beneficiary of a handful of John Wall's assists during the Washington Wizards' Game 4 win over the Toronto Raptors, tying things up at two games apiece.

Gortat was an effective 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting after posting a 16-point performance in Game 3 with an even more impressive 8-of-10 from the field.

“He’s spoon-feeding me and I’m getting fat,” said Gortat of his teammate Wall, according to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post.

The “spoon-feeding” is likely a nod to Wall's comments from back in February, where he noted Gortat is the main beneficiary of his passing abilities, as Wall started his way to recovering from a knee procedure.

The Wizards have managed to defend their home court against the Eastern Conference's top seed and now have evened affairs heading back up to The Great North once again for Game 5.

Gortat dropped a goose egg in Game 2, which raised questions of a potential change in the starting lineup for the more offensive-minded Mike Scott, but Scott Brooks stuck with his starting center and was rewarded with 16 and 12-point outings to follow.

Wall is averaging a magical 26.8 points, 13 assists, and 2.8 steals per game in the series — proving just how much this team needed a player of his caliber back in the rotation.

If Wall and Gortat start to link up like old times, this series could very well be on its way to a Game 7, with plenty of more food where that came from for The Polish Hammer.
