The Washington Wizards have pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the season so far as they defeated the league-best Utah Jazz on Thursday night. Behind tremendous performances by Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal, the Wizards handed the Jazz just their 11th loss of the year, 131-122.

Westbrook scored a key basket in a crucial juncture deep in the fourth period, which resulted in the veteran guard busting out his trrademark “rock the baby” celebration:

Washington's dynamic duo combined for 78 points on the evening, which proved enough to carry the Wizards to a huge win over Utah (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles also had it going for the Jazz, amassing no less than 76 points between them, but in the end, their heroics were futile against a determined Wizards side.

This victory prompted quite a celebration from the team via Twitter:

The Wizards came into Thursday's matchup on a five-game losing skid, and more than a few folks out there expected this to be their sixth straight. Many believed that the Jazz would cruise to victory in this one, but as it turns out, Westbrook and Beal never got the memo. Could this be the start of a memorable run for the Wizards? After all, beating the best team in the NBA should serve as ample motivation for any squad.

Utah, on the other hand, appears to be in a bit of a crisis. They've lost four out of their six games in March, as they slowly lose their grip on the top spot in the Western Conference.
