Newly-acquired Washington Wizards forward Sam Dekker practiced with the team on Sunday after officially passing his post-trade physical.

Sam Dekker was sent to Washington in a three-team deal on Friday that involved the Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks. He averaged 6.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in his nine games with Cleveland this season.

According to Fred Katz of The Athletic, Dekker is now officially ready to suit up for the Wizards after completing his physical. The third-year pro even shared that he is excited about his new opportunity.

Dekker also joined the team's practice and opened up about the learning process and adjusting to the new environment and training process.

“It's a lot of learning…But a lot of teams around the NBA, we all kinda run similar stuff,” Dekker said, per Fred Katz. It's just naming & knowing what words to put on stuff. So that's gonna take a little bit of time but they're gonna try to make it as easy as possible”

The Wizards currently sit at 11-15 on the season and could certainly use a boost in several spots. They'll return to the court on Monday for a showdown with the Indiana Pacers. It remains to be seen if Sam Dekker will make his debut for his new team at Indianapolis.
