Washington Wizards All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal is in a bit of a conundrum.

The St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Nationals will square off in the NLCS. Beal is a St. Louis native, but because he plays for the Wizards, Washington fans are hoping the Wizards guard will be rooting for the Nationals.

Either way, Beal is excited about the series:

As you can see from the replies to the tweet, fans are curious to see which team Beal is going to root for. The Wizards All-Star made the right move by not responding to any of the replies.

The Nationals have a good chance to win the World Series. The Washington Capitals won the Stanley Cup recently. The Wizards and Washington Redskins are the two teams in the nation's capital which haven't given D.C. fans a reason to cheer.

At media day, Beal said he wants to bring the Wizards back to prominence so fans of the team can gloat again.

Beal averaged 25.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists last season for the Wizards while shooting 47.5 percent from the field, 35.1 percent from beyond the arc and 80.8 percent from the free-throw line. Under his current contract, Beal will make $27.1 million this season and $28.8 million in 2020-21. The two-time All-Star can make more money next summer if he makes one of the All-NBA teams this season.

It is believed that is the reason Beal hasn't signed an extension with Washington yet.
