The Washington Wizards are zoning in on their next starting point guard. With all indications pointing to Bradley Beal signing his super max deal to stay in D.C., getting him a new point guard is the next item on the list.

That task hasn't been an easy one for the Wizards the past couple of years. They've cycled through three different starting point guards in the last three seasons, going from John Wall to Russell Westbrook then Spencer Dinwiddie. All three ended up getting traded.

Washington has put out feelers on a handful of veteran point guards such as Malcolm Brogdon, Delon Wright, and Tyus Jones. According to Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer, there's at least one All-Star that the Wiz have their eye on – San Antonio Spurs' Dejounte Murray. While getting Murray to D.C. remains a long shot, they've made some calls to the Spurs front office:

The Wizards are one of the teams that have inquired about Dejounte Murray in San Antonio, sources said, but Washington doesn't seem to have an offer capable of landing the Spurs' All-Star.

The Wizards have most of their future picks and a few young pieces in Kyle Kuzma, Deni Avdija, and recently drafted lottery pick Johnny Davis. But it remains to be seen if they'll have enough powder or would be willing to part with enough picks to land the talented 25-year-old.
