There is still much uncertainty surrounding the future of the Washington Wizards, and part of that uncertainty centers around Otto Porter Jr. There have been reports of interest in Porter from around the league, specifically the Sacramento Kings, but according to Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington, the Wizards are not looking to trade Porter at the moment. Hughes writes:

Though the Kings may have interest in Porter, the Wizards maintain their stance that they are not looking to trade him, according to a person familiar with the situation. That means no plans to ship him to Sacramento or anywhere else.

It's hard to believe that anyone is off limits in Washington right now. The Wizards have steadied themselves by posting a 7-7 record in November, but that hasn't erased the foundational issues on the team.

If the right team came calling with the right deal, the Wizards would have to jump on it. That being said, the Washington swingman still has two years left on his deal worth around $55 million after this season. A team would really have to like Porter to take on that salary.

Furthermore, Porter is having a down season this year. His scoring average is down by almost three points and his 3-point percentage is down by eight percentage points. These are not good signs for a player who is supposed to be a 3-point assassin.

That being said, taking Porter out of the toxic environment in Washington could be enough to kickstart his season and see his return to previous form.
