The Washington Wizards unveiled their new alternate uniforms featuring stars and stripes, an homage to the American flag and the men and women who serve in the military.

Predominantly white, the uniform employs a subtle use of navy blue outlines with red accents for the stripes and city name logo. The jersey features stars on each side while the shorts highlight the red stripes and the Wizards logo.

The team also announced that Leidos, an American defense company based in Virginia, will serve as the sponsor of their newly-established military series initiative.

“We are proud to continue to support and honor the men and women in our Armed Forces and their families,” said Roger Krone, Leidos Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

“Through this initiative, we hope to highlight their sacrifice and commitment throughout the year.”

The Wizards are set to debut their new uniforms on Friday, Nov. 11 when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Orlando Magic also revealed alternate stars-themed uniforms this summer.
