After watching Uncle Howdy debut the Wyatt Sick6 on the WWE Universe on the RAW after Clash at the Castle, fans the world over wondered how the factions would back it up a week into the future on the Red Brand.

Would the faction find themselves another victim in Indianapolis, attacking another performer at the end of the show to impact the promotion's plans ahead of Money in the Bank? Or would they instead keep targeting Chad Gable, who was somehow cleared to wrestle on the show despite having undergone some severe physical and emotional trauma at the hands of Howdy and his cohorts?

Well, as it turns out, the answer was really neither of the above, as, after watching Gable win a spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder match in a qualifying contest against “Big” Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman, declaring himself “unkillable” in a half-hearted promo before the bell, the potential “Master in the Bank” was greeted with the presence – but wearing a no-so-familiar face – of Nikki Cross, who slithered into the ring as the light lowered and smoke filled the arena, only to scare the former leader of Alpha Academy half to death.

Though she didn't ultimately attack Gable, she did leave a message for Michael Cole, a VHS with a “Play Me” written on the outside before walking spookily through the crowd and out of the arena not to be seen or heard from again.

What gives? Why did the faction go from certified killers to silent observers who wanted nothing more than to give a gift to the show's absent color commentator? Well, as it turns out, it was all part of the plan, as while Gable attempted to reunite with the Alpha Academy – he did not – and ended up talking to the Creed Brothers, Cole found a VHS in the production truck and let fans in on what Howdy and company had to say.

Uncle Howdy interviewed Bo Dallas about Bray and the Wyatt Sick6.

On the tape, which admittedly was a little too hi-fi to be an actual VHS rip, Uncle Howdy sat down with none other than Bo Dallas, real name Taylor Rotunda, who just so happens to be the son of IRS, the brother of Bray Wyatt, and the man who, at least theoretically, wears the Howdy mask.

What gives? Was this some sort of internal monologue inside the WWE Superstar? Or was this instead some attempt at a face turn, getting fans on the Wyatt Sick6's side and making them feel empathy for the loss of Wyatt instead of angry at what the faction has done to Chad Gable and company?

Discussing the passing of Wyatt with the masked man, Dallas explained what it was like to lose his older brother and best friend, declaring that no one felt the loss more than the former Bo Dallas.

“Like the most important thing in my life was taken away from me,” Bo Dallas declared. “Like nothing was ever going to matter again.”

Asked by Uncle Howdy if he felt he was stealing Wyatt's legacy by using his iconography, characters, and legacy to continue his own story, Dallas said no, letting fans know that he wasn't going to take this opportunity for granted and wanted to instead keep his legacy alive forever.

“All I ever wanted my whole life was to be like my brother. I looked up to him and wanted to be him. And I worked my entire career, my entire life, so I could work there next to him. And we were going to rule together, and we had finally made it. We were there. We had it… and then it was taken away from me. There is no person on this Earth who feels more hurt than me from his loss. No one person on this Earth feels what I feel!” Dallas declared.

“But what am I supposed to do, let him become a mausoleum? Let everyone forget what he stood for, what he fought for, what he believed in? They wanted to forget about me, they wanted to forget about all of us; we made them remember. We made them all remember.”

So what gives? is this some weird babyface run? Or is it instead an attempt to make the intentions of the faction clearer so that they can do horrible things in the future but without being considered solely evil, a sort of group of anti-hero misfits with a clear agenda but no moral compass? Needless to say, this is not what fans expected last week from the second appearance of the faction, and will tune in next week to see the next wrinkle added to the story.
