DJ Gordon, a four-star prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has committed to play for the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Prior to the commitment, the youngest had a final list of six schools left in the mix for his services. For the sake of context, those programs were the Pittsburgh Panthers, VCU Rams, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Providence Friars, Iowa Hawkeyes and (obviously) Penn State Nittany Lions.

DJ Gordon is an actual rising talent. Most reputable recruiting service websites do only list him as a three/four-star hybrid recruit at the moment, but thanks to some stellar play, it won’t be shocking if he ends up as a four-star from the majority of the outlets by the time he hits campus.

At the time of this writing, nearly every reputable outlet does have him slotted as being one of the 130 (or so) best players in his class.

Nevertheless, this is a good get for the Penn State Nittany Lions, as they beat out really good programs to snag the youngster.
