Tight ends are a difficult position to figure out as Week 11 of the fantasy football season approaches. It's time to continue our fantasy football series with a breakdown on the tight end position.

It is extremely difficult to consistently produce high fantasy football numbers when you aren't heavily involved in the game plan. Only a select few tight ends are used enough to earn targets. This position is seeing different names appear as a few are putting themselves above others. Let's take a look at the six tight ends fantasy football owners should consider starting or sitting for Week 11.

Fantasy Football Week 11 Start ‘Em

Pat Freiermuth – Pittsburgh Steelers

Freiermuth is becoming a massive part of the Steelers' success this season. Not all of it is showing in the numbers, but he's an excellent blocking tight end. He didn't have a great game last week but saw solid production in each of the previous three weeks.

Week 11 is a favorable matchup for Freiermuth as he faces the LA Chargers who rank 28th against opposing tight ends. The Chargers just allowed two touchdowns to Tyler Conklin in Week 10. Expect Freiermuth to play well.

Tyler Conklin – Minnesota Vikings

As mentioned above, Conklin found the endzone twice against the Bolts. QB Kirk Cousins found him in the RedZone for his only two touchdown passes of the game. It seems as if they are starting to click and that is good for his value.

Conklin faces the 21st ranked Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The Packers are great against opposing receivers similar to the Chargers, so that allows the tight ends to sneak away with extra yardage and possible touchdowns.

Hunter Henry – New England Patriots

Henry also caught two touchdowns last week in the blowout win over the Cleveland Browns. It's clear he is the more productive tight end between him and Jonnu Smith. It's a short week for the Patriots, but the team is hot and Henry could be in line for another solid game.

The Pats face the Atlanta Falcons for Thursday Night Football. They rank 15th against opposing tight ends but that is mostly due to the fact that they can't defend any position well. Henry should start if you have the chance to start him, unless you contain a top-five tight end.

Tight Ends Week 11 Sit ‘Em

Jared Cook – Los Angeles Chargers

Cook continues to see low targets with the Chargers. He caught just one pass on three targets in the loss against the Vikings. His value also isn't great because fellow tight end Donald Parham Jr. gets more RedZone targets.

Cook faces the Steelers this week who rank 21st against opposing tight ends. There is light at the end of the tunnel this week for Cook but don't expect him to play too great. I would avoid him if you have the chance.

Zach Ertz – Arizona Cardinals

Ertz continues to see average fantasy football numbers since the trade. It's a safer bet to avoid starting him until he proves he is worthy of it. He is seeing decent targets for a tight end but the yardage isn't there. He hasn't scored a TD in his last three games.

The Cardinals face the 17th ranked Seahawks on Sunday. A lot can happen in a divisional rivalry but don't expect much from Ertz unless he gets RedZone targets.

Dawson Knox – Buffalo Bills

Knox did not get involved at all in his return to action in Week 10. He caught one pass for 17 yards and the Bills didn't really need him to be a factor. It's tough to tell how they will utilize Knox going forward but he was off to a great start this season. There's no doubt he will eventually find his groove, but for now, it's better to avoid him in your fantasy football lineups.

The Bills face the 27th ranked Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. That is a favorable matchup for him to get going again but he will need to prove it before he isn't risky to start him.
