The New England Patriots have hit a little bit of a snag recently. Still, they are 10-3 on the season and have been one of the most consistently dominant teams all year long.

It also helps to have that championship pedigree and the best defense in the entire NFL. Those factors definitely make it a lot harder to bet against this team.

Can New England ride their elite defense and incredible experience to another Championship though? It's definitely a strong possibility that they do just that.

Here are four reasons the Patriots will win the Super Bowl this season.

4. Defense

The defense of the Patriots has been on a whole different level than everyone else this season.

New England has allowed 264.8 yards of total offense per game this year. That's the fewest allowed in the NFL.

They have allowed the second fewest passing yards (171.8 yards) and the fourth fewest rushing yards (93 yards) per game. So they have been able to completely shut down every aspect of opposing offenses.

That's translated well too. New England is giving up just 12.9 points per game. And you've likely guessed by now, that's the fewest in the NFL.

They are also seventh in the NFL in sacks (41) and second in takeaways (31). Their six defensive/special teams touchdowns leads the entire league as well.

With this defense, the Patriots don't need much help offensively to win a game. They always say “defense wins championships,” this is the type of defense they are talking about.

3. Tom Brady

Speaking of offense. Tom Brady is not looking like his usual self in recent weeks. This has led to a lot of people asking the question that's been asked one million times before.

Are we seeing the end of the Brady era?

People are quick to say Brady is done and there is no way the Patriots will win with him anymore. Then he goes on a run and they fire through the postseason on their way to another Super Bowl.

This is not the same Brady that we've seen in the past. It's still one that knows how to win though. He will make the plays that his team needs him to make, and when the playoffs come around, expect to see a few vintage games.

2. Bill Belichick

We'll stick to the same type of argument for the next reason. Head coach Bill Belichick is arguably the greatest coach of all-time.

He gets the same treatment as Brady though. While people will recognize he's one of the greatest, they also seem to want to be the ones that predict his downfall.

This leads to a lot of hot takes whenever the Patriots struggle even the slightest bit. You hear the arguments of a weak division and how Belichick only looks great because of Brady. That last one is funny because there are people that will say Brady only looks great because of Belichick.

Anyways, Belichick will get his fair share of grief whenever the Patriots lose. But there is no coach you would rather have when making a push for a Super Bowl run. He's won it all countless times before, and he's shown he knows how to build a team that will win it again.

1. Winning Ways

The New England franchise is not just a quarterback and a coach though. Yes, Brady and Belichick are arguably the best to ever do it at their respective posts. However, there is more to this team.

The Patriots win, a lot. They've been doing it for a long time too.

Simply put, this team knows how to win. It might not seem like much of a reason, but having been there matters.

A heavy majority of this roster was there for the Super Bowl win last year. Most of those have been on the team for at least two Super Bowl wins, and even more appearances.

It's the reason people are always so quick to claim this is the year the Patriots will fall. They want to be the ones that “knew” before everyone else that a dynasty was over.

All that experience makes a difference. It is part of the reason Jared Goff looked so bad last year in the Super Bowl, and Sean McVay was so heavily out coached.

No team has more experience than New England when it comes to the playoffs and the Super Bowl. That could come in to play pretty heavily when everything is on the line.
