The Denver Nuggets are officially on the brink of elimination after suffering yet another defeat to the Phoenix Suns on Friday night. They now sit in a 3-0 hole and at this point, it seems unlikely a heroic comeback could actually happen based on just how dominant this Suns team has been.

While Nikola Jokic had a massive game with 32 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists, the Nuggets' supporting cast didn't give him much help. Aaron Gordon is one player who has been downright atrocious across the last two contests and he needs to figure it out very quickly.

Gordon was brought in at the deadline from the Orlando Magic for his defensive prowess. There was never a ton expected from him offensively, but this has simply not been good enough. Gordon has combined for 10 points in Games 2 and 3. In the process, he's gone a mere 5 for 17 from the field while missing eight of his first nine attempts on Friday.

In Game 3, he even played a total of 35 minutes and had just four points to show for.  Worst part? He had just as many turnovers as points. Gordon couldn't hit a shot to save his life and for a starter in Michael Milone's rotation, the veteran forward has to be better.

The Nuggets went out and acquired him for a reason. Gordon was seen as a huge addition who could add defensive solidity and a scoring punch when called upon. At this point, Denver has their backs up against the wall. The entire team has to step up and do better. Sure, the likes of Monte Morris and Will Barton were a lot more efficient in Game 3 to complement the Joker, but it's going to take an all-around effort to beat the red-hot Suns.

Aaron Gordon isn't a great shooter. He also doesn't have a lot of versatility on the offensive end. But missing simple mid-range jumpers or easy lay-ups isn't going to cut it. He needs to rise to the occasion in Game 4 for the Nuggets with a bounce-back performance.
