The recently concluded election brought a wave of emotion in its aftermath as different personalities and individuals made their case known to everyone either through protests or public announcements.

In the NBA, a number of players and coaches have spoken their mind on Donald Trump’s presidential win, and the league recognizes that their words do affect a wide demographic.

As such, Commissioner Adam Silver sent out a mass email to everyone to remind them of the league’s integrity despite the big changes that a lot of people fearfully expect.

Via ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk:

“NBA commissioner Adam Silver sent an email to NBA corporate offices worldwide shortly after the presidential election results to reiterate to NBA employees that the league's core values and commitment to equality and diversity haven't changed, sources told ESPN.”

This is a great and responsible move by the league as it continues to uphold a high standard when it comes to being a home for major role models, not only in sports, but as well as society.
