Adam Cole is reportedly not expected to wrestle until AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling's supershow, Forbidden Door, on June 26th. Cole is dealing with an injury after his victory over Samoa Joe to win the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament at Double or Nothing.

Byran Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio stated during his radio show, “I was told that Danielson is out one to two weeks and probably no Cole until Forbidden Door. They're going to let him rest up.”

Last week Cole was pulled from a 10-man tag team match between Undisputed Elite and Jurassic Express & The Hardy Boyz. Jeff Hardy was also pulled from the match due to an injury he sustained at Double or Nothing. Hardy was replaced by Darby Allin while Cole was replaced by Bullet Club member, Hikuleo. Instead of competing in the match, Cole joined the commentary desk, sporting his newly won Owen Hart Cup Winner Championship.

The list of names on the professional wrestling injury list is beginning to grow by the day. Just in the past few weeks, wrestlers such as CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Jeff Hardy, Adam Cole, Scorpio Sky, and Bryan Danielson have all sustained injuries that have or will keep them out of action.

Cole is expected to be a major piece of the AEW and NJPW supershow, Forbidden Door, as he and Jay White took the spotlight from both AEW president Tony Khan and NJPW president Takami Ohbari to announce the event would be all about Bullet Club and Undisputed Elite. With less than three weeks until the show, and Cole still being able to be on television to set up a match, this shouldn't affect AEW programming much.
