Valve announced today that the Active Duty Map Pool will be updated, with Ancient will be replacing Train. Apart from this, Valve also announced CSGO 360 Stats, a stats tracking feature introduced in CSGO Operation Broken Fang.

CSGO Operation Broken Fang ends, taking Train out of the Active Duty Map Pool

As Operation Broken Fang concludes, its missions, features, and rewards will be gone along with it. But aside from these, its departure will also take Train with it. The CSGO Active Duty Map Pool will see Train replaced by Ancient. This serves as the first change in the Active Duty Map Pool since Vertigo replaced Cache in March 2019.

Apart from joining the Active Duty Map Pool, Ancient also received some changes. Its A Site has been re-worked, giving the Counter-Terrorist side two pathways entering the site. A plateau now exists in the tunnels to encourage long gunfights. The B site also received some minor tweaks.

The changes in the Active Duty Map Pool will not yet be put into place in the Regional Major Ranking (RMR) events. Hence, upcoming events in the following weeks will still have Train in the Active Duty Map Pool. The current set of scheduled events will be finished first before the changes in the Active Duty Map Pool will take into effect in RMR events. Meanwhile, these changes will take effect immediately in Ranked Matchmaking.

Finally, a new weapon case drops called the Snakebite Weapon Case, which features 17 community-designed weapon finishes.

CSGO 360 Stats, Premier Competitive, and Retakes are here to stay

Among the new features introduced in Operation Broken Fang, three will stay even after the event ends. Because of the popularity of Premier Competitive and Retakes, Valve decided to retain the two matchmaking modes.

On the other side, CSGO 360 Stats will remain. While many of the stats featured in this screen can be found in third-party providers, having them available in-game is a sweet treat. However, it doesn't come for free. The subscription service will be made available for $0.99 monthly. Take note that only matches played in Competitive, Premier, and Wingman game modes on official servers are tracked on the Stats page. If you feel that seeing these information in-game isn't worth the monthly fee, then it's best to stick to free alternatives like Leetify, SCOPE.GG, and CSGOSTATS.GG.
