Many players have expressed their dissatisfaction with the current MLB lockout on social media, and probably the best player in the world, Mike Trout, released a statement on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout released this,

“I want to play, I love our game, but I know we need to get this CBA right. Instead of bargaining in good faith – MLB locked us out. Instead of negotiating a fair deal – Rob canceled games. Players stand together. For our game, for our fans, and for every player who comes after us. We owe it to the Next Generation.”

It's usually a big deal when Mike Trout says anything about something. The Angels' star player has demonstrated throughout the years that he prefers to maintain a quiet profile and focus on being the best player in the world, which he is.

The MLB lockout is a bad look for baseball, and, as Mike Trout pointed out, it's a bad look for fans and the next generation.

It will be fascinating to see when this agreement is finalized, but it does not appear to be happening anytime soon. The owners have done a terrible job throughout this entire process, and now they're attempting to pin the blame on the players, which only makes things worse.

Major League Baseball needs to figure this thing out so the fans get to watch guys like Mike Trout again.
