Allen Robinson has seemingly grown frustrated with his contract situation with the Chicago Bears, deleting all of his social media mentions of the team. While Robinson prepares to play on Sunday versus the New York Giants, both sides are still working toward getting a deal done despite there being a ‘significant gap'.

Since the end of the 2019 season, Robinson's contract status became a hot topic for the Bears. The Pro Bowl wide receiver iterated during the offseason that he wasn't overly concerned with getting a contract in place this year.

At the same time, he did share that the Bears had yet to speak to him about an extension. Nevertheless, after just one week into the regular season, Robinson is attempting to push for a new contract with Chicago.

In recent seasons, the wide receiver market has grown exponentially. Even though Robinson likely won't come close to the $27 million that DeAndre Hopkins got, he could be near what Keenan Allen received. Also, both Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods recently finalized deals with the Los Angeles Rams in the past two weeks.

Allen agreed to a four-year, $80 million extension with the Los Angeles Chargers ahead of the start of the 2020 season. Given that, Robinson could very well be looking to get more than Allen garnered with the Chargers.

As for the Bears, they are likely looking to see if they can ink Robinson to a deal that is slightly lower than Allen's long-term extension. Nevertheless, it seems as if it is going to take either Chicago or Robinson to bend for a deal to happen.
