Chicago Bears linebacker Khalil Mack was impressive last year for the team after being traded from the Oakland Raiders, but he knows that he has more to offer.

Mack is heading into his first training camp with the Bears after spending last years with the Raiders. Mack spoke to the media and said that even though last year was good, everyone can be better and he is expecting big things out of himself and the team.

“We’re hungrier than we were last year,” Mack said, via NBCSportsChicago.com. “I’m speaking for myself as well. I’m way hungrier than I was last year. It definitely wasn’t good enough. Just looking forward to this year and getting better.”

Mack finished last season with 12.5 sacks and six forced fumbles in just 14 games in the Windy City. One of the big reasons that Mack and the team think he can get better is because they do have all of training camp to work. They will be able to experiment more with where he will line and up and figure out what works.

He isn't the only guy who is expecting more out of the team. Akiem Hicks knows there is a sense of urgency around the team because they know how important it is to win now.

“I would definitely say there is a sense of urgency,” Hicks said. “You can’t get outside the box and start pushing yourself in different ways that aren’t effective, but you have to know that these opportunities to have good teams, teams that are playoff caliber teams, they don’t come around often.”

“This is my eighth NFL season and I’ve been the playoffs three times. That’s more than a lot of guys but that’s still not a lot. … You have to take advantage when you got it.”
