Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy knows former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt very well. Nagy was the Chiefs offensive coordinator last season during Hunt's rookie season, and to this day Nagy has nothing but praise for the troubled running back.

Nagy recently spoke with Hunt and stressed that their conversation consisted of him checking in with Hunt on a personal level.

Hunt is about as talented at the running back position as an individual can be. Hunt was last season's rushing leader and was having an equally impressive 2018 season. Nagy stated that Hunt was not only a great player but a ‘really, really good kid.' Unfortunately, Hunt's off-field troubles would state otherwise, but Nagy isn't letting that change his perception of the young running back.

Nagy knows Hunt is an incredibly talented player as anyone else would agree who has seen him play. It's unclear whether Hunt will ever play another NFL snap after video footage showed him assaulting a woman back in February. The Chiefs organization clearly chose to wash their hands of the situation by releasing Hunt immediately, however, another team may choose to give Hunt another chance to right his wrongs.

Hunt is an incredible talent, but his actions are not taken lightly. No matter if he is given another opportunity or not, his actions will never be forgotten. The Bears would have to think long and hard prior to making a move that would bring Hunt on board and adding a player with Hunt's history could be detrimental to their reputation.
