The Chicago Bears managed to come up on yet another dynamic playmaker for the second year in a row through the draft with running back Tarik Cohen. However, Cohen feels he still has yet to establish himself as such.

The pint-sized back made his bones as an all-purpose weapon for the Bears in the 2017 NFL season. According to ESPN's Jeff Dickerson, Cohen has set the bar high for himself moving forward.

“I just have this attitude like I don’t really feel like I’ve done anything yet,” Cohen said. “I wasn’t in the Pro Bowl. I’m really not like a definite household name yet, so I feel like I have a lot more to prove. I didn’t have any 1,000-yard season in any phase of the game, so I feel like I have a lot more to do.”

While it may seem like Cohen is being a bit harsh on himself, it is indicative of his expectations. His dissatisfaction is likely the result of a lack of carries behind workhorse running back Jordan Howard.

Cohen toted the ball just 87 times for 370 yards and two touchdowns. Needless to say, it paled in comparison to the 276 carries Howard registered last year en route to a second consecutive 1,000-yard season. As a result, Cohen was forced to make his impact in other areas of the game.

He did manage to cut into Howard's receiving workload by becoming Chicago's go-to option out of the backfield. Cohen hauled in 53 receptions for 353 yards and a touchdown. He also managed to make an impact on special teams 272 punt return yards and a touchdown to go with 583 kick return yards. Although it was encouraging to see the Bears try and get Cohen as many touches as possible, it is likely that he will want them to come more organically out of the backfield moving forward.
