The Chicago Bears brought in offensive playmaker Taylor Gabriel this offseason and although it hasn't gotten a lot of attention he could be one of the biggest playmakers for Matt Nagy's team this season.

Gabriel is a speedy receiver who can stretch the field and he has already shown the flashes early on in training camp. The former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver says he just wants to help the team any way he can and bring the “explosiveness” back to the offense.

“Just bringing that explosiveness to the offense — the downfield [passes], the screens,” Gabriel said of his role with the Bears, via NBC Sports Chicago. “I mean I can't pinpoint the [one] thing I'm doing, because I'm everywhere in this offense. I play running back, I'm doing flea flickers, I'm doing all types of stuff.

“I'm everywhere, I've been everywhere. Even when I was with the Falcons I was in the backfield. I was [running] jet sweep. So it's nothing that I'm giving away, that's just what I've been doing my whole career.”

Under John Fox, the Bears played a much slower tempo of offense that really focused on pounding the rock early on and trying to get four or five yards on each play.

Nagy is bringing a more explosive offense to town and Gabriel should be a huge part of it. Expect the Bears to try and stretch the field and throw a couple bombs deep each game. As the Bears offense breaks out this year, expect Gabriel to break out too.
