Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow signed a massive new contract on Thursday that is good for five years and $275 million. Burrow is now the highest paid QB in the NFL. Burrow and the Bengals had been negotiating this new deal during the offseason, and it comes just in time for the season opener on the road against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Joe Burrow has been superb in his time with the Bengals and has turned the team into consistent Super Bowl contenders. He is clearly one of the top QBs in the league, and this record-breaking contract seems warranted. Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is glad that Burrow got the deal done, and he is looking for more contract negations to be done before the season opener.

I hope.” Higgins said when asked if there would be more negotiations heading into Sunday's game, according to a tweet from Charlie Goldsmith.

At the end of the day, however, the Bengals have one goal, and Tee Higgins made it clear that that goal is the team's main focus heading into this season.

“We’ve all got one goal,” Higgins said. “Winning it all.”

The Bengals have come close to achieving that goal since Burrow arrived in Cincinnati, but they haven't been able to pull it off yet. In 2021, the Bengals made it all the way to the Super Bowl, but lost to the Los Angeles Rams. Last year, Cincinnati went down in the AFC Championship against the Kansas City Chiefs, who went on to win it all. The Bengals have been close, but they are still searching for that ring.
