After ending their previous partnership in a unique and interesting fashion, the Miami Heat and Beno Udrih are now reunited.

It is noteworthy that last year, Udrih was a member of the Heat until a season-ending injury forced him to accept a buyout in order to save the team from paying luxury penalties. This summer, the franchise maintained that they have a standing offer for the veteran point guard in case he doesn’t get a better deal from other teams.

According to a tweet by The Vertical’s Shams Charania, the Slovenian guard has accepted the Heat’s offer.

In 36 games for Miami last season, Beno Udrih averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 assists in 16 minutes per contest. His role as a third-string point guard does not appear to be changing anytime soon unless anything unforeseen happens.

But in this story, the attention needs to be focused on how one unselfish move from a player was reciprocated by a classy gesture from an NBA team.
