Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter is now dating Ariana Rockefeller, according to TMZ Sports. The fashion designer/equestrian is the the great-great-granddaughter of oil tycoon and industry magnate John D. Rockefeller.

The Blazers big man and Rockefeller have been seeing each other for months now. The pair first met through social media. One of their common interests is animal rights advocacy. Kanter takes this advocacy so seriously that he has decided to substitute his current diet for a vegan one. He spoke about this to PETA:

The third overall pick from the 2011 draft spent time during the offseason in New York and in Portland with Rockefeller.

The couple's development has slowly been evident in Instagram comments. Although the couple has been seen together for the first time on Kanter's Instagram post, they officially have no labels:

To go along with this news, Kanter is in the process of becoming a United States citizen as he continues to deal with threats from his Turkish homeland. He's a busy man on and off the court.

With injuries to CJ McCollum, Jusuf Nurkic and Zach Collins, the Blazers will be reling on Kanter more than usual in the coming weeks. While his defense has always left a lot to be desired, he provides consistent interior scoring and rebounding. In several stretches of his career, he was an automatic double-double. This season, he's averaging 10.1 points and 9.3 boards while shooting 62.1% from the field and 82.1% from the charity stripe.

The Blazers are currently situated fifth in the Western Conference with a record of 8-6. Portland is hoping for a deep playoff run after getting bounced in the first round by the Los Angeles Lakers in the bubble.
