Vladimir Tarasenko was the St. Louis Blues' lead points and goals contributor with 82 points and 34 goals in the regular season. He was also a huge reason for the Blues' 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs run and recorded nine points and six goals in the Blues' 12 postseason games.

Despite all of his hard work and success this season, Vladimir Tarasenko's feelings towards the Blues franchise haven't changed. He first requested a trade from the organization last offseason, and, according to recent reports, he doesn't plan on changing his mind.

NHL insider Frank Seravalli tweeted the update Wednesday morning.

Seravalli added that while Tarasenko is looking to leave the Blues, the organization is considering moving Torey Krug elsewhere this offseason. Krug could potentially be a part of a trade package to ship Tarasenko out of St. Louis ahead of the 2022-2023 season.

Vladimir Tarasenko still has one year left on his contract and is scheduled to enter free agency next offseason. However, he never rescinded his trade request from last offseason, and reportedly still wants to leave the Blues. According to Seravalli, the Carolina Hurricanes could be a great trade match for the right winger.

Meanwhile, Krug still has five more years left on his contract. However, Blues general manager Doug Armstrong has “quietly explored the potential of moving Krug,” according to Seravalli. The defenseman has a full no-trade clause, meaning that he can block a deal to any team.
