Bradley Beal dumbfounded by John Wall jumping on scorer’s table
The Washington Wizards lived to play another day after defending their home court against the Boston Celtics Friday night. The reason for the night’s victory rested in the hands of John Wall who sank a long three-point shot in the closing seconds of the game to seal the win in a dramatic ending.
When it was clear there would be a Game 7, an elated Wall hopped on the scorer’s table to celebrate the victory with the thousands of screaming fans at Verizon Center.
Somehow lost in the fray was his teammate Bradley Beal, who seemed completely unaware of Wall’s actions, until he was told by reporters during the postgame conference. When he heard the news he gave his All-Star teammate with a bewildered look and buried his face in his hand as if he was embarrassed.
Needless to say, it was a priceless reaction to the one person in the entire arena who didn’t see the emotional celebration.
Game 7 takes place in Boston at 8:00 PM ET on TNT Monday night.
