Despite rumors that surfaced about him already practicing with the team, Philadelphia 76ers center Nerlens Noel will not make his season debut yet.

According to the team's head coach, Brett Brown, the 22-year-old Kentucky product will be back in a few weeks but did not provide an exact date for his return.

This development comes only days after it was reported that Noel had spoken to the veteran bench tactician about his role with the team.

Noel is currently recovering from an inflamed plica above his left knee that required surgery. Should he make his return as scheduled, it will create a logjam in their frontcourt which was already foreseen since the offseason. The Sixers' top brass has made it clear that they are looking to trade one of their big men as a solution to their problem and Noel's name has come up a lot of times as the odd-man out.
