There has been plenty of speculation regarding what the Cleveland Browns plan on doing with the first overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Needless to say, general manager John Dorsey has done little to tip his hand about what he has in store.

Dorsey has made it a point to keep the information about the pick under wraps. However, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, he has let head coach Hue Jackson in on the plan:

The information has yet to be leaked by Browns coach Hue Jackson, but the information is in his possession. Per a league source, Browns G.M. Johh Dorsey has told Jackson who the Browns will take with the first overall pick in the draft.

It should come as no surprise that he has revealed the pick to Jackson. Some would say he waited a bit long considering the draft is less than 24 hours away. However, a pick of this magnitude requires as much time to decide as possible.

The consensus is the Browns will take a quarterback with the first overall pick. Although they have been linked to every top prospect in the draft, recent reports suggest that it is a two-man race between Wyoming's Josh Allen and Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield. If that is the case, it could dramatically affect the entire landscape of the draft itself.

Cleveland owns the fourth overall pick in the draft as well. This means they could potentially be able to acquire both a top-tier skill player along with the quarterback of their choosing. However, if Dorsey and Jackson are dead set on one signal-caller in particular, then it would be wise for them to capitalize on taking him immediately.
