After a torrid first week of this 2017-18 NBA season, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is now the favorite to win the Most Valuable Player award, according to the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas, via ESPN's David Purdum.

The Greek Freak leads the charge as the favorite at 9-4, followed by LeBron James (4-1), Kawhi Leonard (6-1) and Kevin Durant (13-2).

Milwaukee Bucks star is averaging 38.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, along with 2.7 steals and a block per game through his first three contests this season — picking back up from where he left off last season, leading his team in each major statistical category and the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

The 22-year-old has scored at least 34 points in every game, capped by a 44-point performance against the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, notching eight rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks in a three-point win.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has shown incredible efficiency, shooting a blistering 67.2 percent from the floor — averaging 15 made field goals per game, while taking only 22.3 shots per game — a scary sight for Bucks opponents.

James and Durant have both impressed for their likely Finals-bound teams respectively, while Leonard remains on the shelf through the start of the season — expected to play a major part in the San Antonio Spurs' equation moving forward.
