MarJon Beuchamp saw his NBA dream come to life during the 2022 NBA Draft after the Milwaukee Bucks selected him as the No. 24 overall pick. Nevertheless, the 21-year-old is making sure that he does not fail to look back at the journey he took to get to where he is today.
Beauchamp announced that he has decided to wear the No. 0 jersey for the Bucks. It is not a random choice by any means, and his reason behind this decision will likely strike a chord with Milwaukee superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
According to Beauchamp, the reason behind the No. 0 jersey is because he “came from zero… came from nothing” (h/t theScore on Twitter):

Beauchamp faced a lot of hardships throughout his journey to becoming a pro. At his lowest point, he was homeless. The Bucks rookie had nothing.
This sounds a lot like the journey of Giannis prior to his arrival in the NBA. Like Beauchamp, Antetokounmpo also experienced poverty in Greece. I'm sure the Bucks talisman appreciates where Beauchamp is coming from here and they seem to have shared life experiences.
If Beauchamp has even half the work ethic, determination, and relentlessness Antetokounmpo possesses, then there is little doubt that this kid is going places.
