Marvin Williams, Bucks, Hornets

Marvin Williams plans to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks after completing his buyout with the Charlotte Hornets, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Williams was the second overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He’s been with the Hornets since 2014.

In 41 games this season for the Hornets, Williams is averaging 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists. He’s shooting 44.8 percent from the field, 37.6 percent from beyond the arc and 86.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Williams has career averages of 10.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 1,055 games with the Hawks and Hornets. He shoots 36.2 percent from the 3-point line for his career.

Williams’ shooting skills will mesh so well with the Bucks and superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
