The second-round rematch of the Milwaukee Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets was shaping up to be an incredible match. For the first time in a while, both teams were relatively healthy in their game. As a result, we got a barn-burner matchup featuring two of the best players in the league today in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant.
However, the game took a rather ugly turn after a flagrant 2 foul and ejection on Khris Middleton. The Bucks star was chasing down Bruce Brown during a fast-break attempt. As Brown was getting up for the lay-up, Middleton swiped at the ball and got Brown's arm, dragging him down in a scary manner. (via Bleacher Report)

Middleton was assessed a flagrant two foul, and was subsequently ejected from the Bucks-Nets game.
Per the NBA's rulebook, a flagrant two foul is given when there is âunnecessary and excessive contact committed by a player against an opponentâ. The question is⌠does this apply to Middleton's case here. The Bucks star did seem like he was going for the ball and just badly missed⌠but it's hard to tell in these kinds of situations. Some fans feel like a flagrant one foul should have been enough, while others think that the ejection was deserved.
Thankfully, Brown wasn't seriously injured, and no other commotion happened during the game. The Bucks would go on to win the game in overtime (which ironically ended in another Kevin Durant miss similar to their last playoff game). It's unclear yet whether the league will take further action on Middleton with this fould.
