Bobby Portis isn't the only one Nikola Mirotic has not spoken to since the now-infamous incident when Portis punched Mirotic which sent him to the hospital and sidelined him for the first quarter of the season.

Mirotic has also yet to address the media and give his thoughts on the Portis incident.

However, Mirotic was finally ready to speak publicly for the first time, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell addressing his situation with Portis among other things.

“Bobby and me, and the team, we're doing what we're supposed to do and being professional,” said Mirotic during his media address. “We are teammates. We’re fighting for this team. We’re going to do what we need to do to make it work.”

Friedell also reported that coach Fred Hoiberg said Mirotic is in good spirits and edging closer to his return on the court. He could potentially make his season debut by next week if all things go accordingly.
