Scottie Pippen has been on a mission recently. The goal? Apparently, to tear down former Chicago Bulls teammate Michael Jordan's legacy. In the past few weeks, Pippen has gone on record to either bash or throw shade on MJ seemingly any time he can. It's… strange, to say the least.

Pippen's latest exploits in throwing shade MJ's way comes from his new book “Unguarded”. There, the Bulls legend claims that their teams won in spite of Jordan's beratement, not because of it. (via Yahoo! Sports)

“Michael was wrong. We didn't win six championships because he got on guys. We won in spite of his getting on guys. We won because we played team basketball, which hadn't been the case my first two seasons, when Doug Collins was our coach. That's what was special about playing for the Bulls: the camaraderie we established with one another, not that we felt blessed to be on the same team with the immortal Michael Jordan.”

Pippen's comments are referencing Jordan's claims in his highly-popular documentary “The Last Dance”. There, MJ claimed that he “needed” to show tough love to his Bulls teammates, which is why he talked trash against them. Clearly, Pippen thinks that wasn't the right method.

But that's not all! Later on, Scottie Pippen throws on more shade on his former Bulls partner, calling himself a better teammate.

“I was a much better teammate than Michael ever was. Ask anyone who played with the two of us. I was always there with a pat on the back or an encouraging word, especially after he put someone down for one reason or another. I helped the others to believe in and stop doubting themselves.”

Man, who would've thought Scottie held so much disdain for Jordan? It's interesting to see how Jordan and their Bulls teammate react to Pippen's tirades against MJ.
