Chicago Bulls rookie big man Wendell Carter Jr. was one of the best shot blockers at Duke last year and he's been a solid rim protector this season. Oklahoma City Thunder superstar point guard Russell Westbrook found that out the hard way Friday night.

Westbrook, the best dunking point guard arguably in NBA history, tried to posterize Carter Jr. in Chicago at the United Center, but the Bulls' rookie said “not in my house.”

That's an incredible play by Wendell Carter Jr., who entered Friday averaging 1.6 blocks per game. For a 19-year-old to not back down from an MVP player shows how mature and strong this kid is. The Bulls definitely got a good one in Carter Jr.

More importantly, the Bulls defeated the Thunder to improve to 6-20 on the season. Wendell Carter Jr. finished with six points, two rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in 20 minutes of action. Russell Westbrook had a triple-double, finishing with 22 points, 17 rebounds, and 13 assists.

Wendell Carter Jr. had a really strong summer league showing in Las Vegas and he's taken that performance and run with it. He's averaging 11.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game on the season while shooting 47.0 percent from the field. The Bulls have found their center of the future.
