The Arizona Cardinals received some devastating news after Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

According to head coach Kliff Kingsbury, linebacker Chandler Jones is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a biceps injury, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Cardinals were able to pull off a win and improve to 3-2 against the Jets without one of their top edge rushers. Jones went to the locker room prior to halftime after injuring his biceps and never returned. Prior to exiting the game, he had managed to get one tackle in the contest. Jones was having a productive season through Week 5. He mustered up nine tackles along with one sack through five games.

Jones' presence will be dearly missed on the defensive side for the Cardinals. In a contest where Jones' sack productions was bound to see an increase against the Jets, his card was pulled with an odd injury. They've proven themselves to be more than capable of boasting talent on offense behind the likes of Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, and Larry Fitzgerald.

The defense hasn't been able to equate to the same success, leaving a wider gap now in Jones' absence. They were already struggling without safety Budda Baker, who luckily returned against the Jets with 10 tackles and one sack as well. Their problems have boiled down to the inability to create stops on third-down conversions along with not generating nearly enough tackles as a unit.

The Cardinals will look to continue getting back to their winning ways against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6.
