Arizona is making another move. The Cardinals are signing guard J.R. Sweezy, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The Cardinals have been aggressive in building their defense through free agency, adding linebackers Jordan Hicks and Terrell Suggs, and now they get a solid addition for the offense.

Per Rapoport, the deal is for two years. Terms were not immediately disclosed. This is the second big offensive line addition the Cardinals have made this week. Just a few days ago they made a trade with the Steelers for Marcus Gilbert, who will start at tackle. Now they have Sweezy on the interior.

The Cardinals' quarterback situation is still in flux, but it doesn't matter. Whether it's Kyler Murray or Josh Rosen, the Cardinals are going to have a young signal-caller under center next season, so investing heavily in the offensive line makes a lot of sense. Arizona's offensive line has been one of the worst in the league the past few years, so it's good to see the Cardinals address the issue seriously.

Sweezy comes to the desert from Seattle, where he has spent most of his career outside of a brief pit stop in Tampa Bay. Sweezy was unheralded out of college, and the Seahawks nabbed him in the seventh round in 2012. He quickly became a starter, and showed what a quick study he is. He will immediately slide in as a starter in Arizona.

Sweezy received below-average marks from Pro Football Focus last year, but beggars can't be choosers. The Cardinals need all the offensive line help they can get if they want to overtake Sweezy's old team in the division. Provided it didn't massively overpay, this is a good pickup for Arizona.
